Based on Root: A Game of Woodland Might, Leder Games' award-winning board game of conflict and power in which cats, birds, mice and other animals battle over the Woodland. In Root: The Roleplaying Game everyone plays vagabonds: Woodland dwellers who live apart from “civilized” society, whether by choice or because they were exiled. They roam the Woodland taking on missions, living adventures and shifting the balance of the war between the factions. It's a game of fun, exciting adventures, where the Woodland and its conflict give purpose and continuity to every story. You'll join great battles, plan clever heists and earn a reputation among the factions… and maybe even help one of them take control of the clearings.
